David Bass is an American football player who currently plays as a defensive end for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on August 11, 1990, in Saint Louis, Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri, where he played college football.
Bass was signed by the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2013 and played for them for two seasons before moving to the Chicago Bears in 2015. He has played as a backup defensive end and also as a special-teams player for the Bears.
In his six seasons in the NFL, Bass has played in 91 games, recorded 7.5 sacks, and forced five fumbles. He is known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions on the defensive line.
